Wu Xiaoping (Academician, Chinese Academy of Sciences)

Professor and doctoral supervisor of University of Science and Technology of China, elected as academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Executive director of Chinese Society of Mechanics in 1997. He has won the Major science and Technology Achievement Award of the Science and Technology Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first prize of the major science and Technology Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the fourth prize of the National Natural Science Award. He is mainly engaged in the research of experimental mechanics, focusing on the theory and technology of photoelectric image detection such as holography, speckle, moire and its application in engineering, as well as the research on the mechanical behavior of microscopic materials based on synchrotron radiation and other technologies, and has published more than 100 papers in academic journals at home and abroad.
